Updating Work and Recording Performance

George Britten Updated by George Britten

Recording performance against what was planned can be one of the most time-consuming, inaccurate parts of construction planning. Aphex helps you and your team record consistent performance records across every day of work in the plan.

On Aphex, as time progresses and work starts, tasks automatically become committed and work planned is assumed to be achieved until the plan is updated. Smart Status is how Aphex helps you capture critical performance data consistently across your project without burdening teams building and updating their plans. Committed task bars change colour, tasks that are on-track have committed days indicated in green, and delayed tasks have committed days indicated in grey and a count of days delayed is indicated on the right of the task bar.

Whenever a committed task's dates are edited, Smart Status automatically assigns a status and record of performance. If a delay is recorded, teams are prompted to record the root-cause of delays against dates of planned work.

The Status Section of a Task's Inspect Panel is where you can find a detailed record of daily statuses against every task in the plan. Against each committed day of work you'll find an assigned status (Unstatused, Completed Early, Task Shortened, On Schedule, Delayed and Late Start), who recorded the status and impact of that status in a count of working days (+ or -).

More granular records and updates on performance can be recorded as comments in the Comments section of a task's Inspect Panel.
