Visualising where work is physically taking place, is a quick and effective way of communicating a plan to those that need to see and understand it. The maps page is where all Work Areas assigned to tasks can be seen, showing you how the plan is taking place physically across a definable period of time. The Map is one of three key components of your Aphex Planner Project that can be accessed using the Navigation Buttons at the top of your Project.

The Map Page can be broken down into 4 components:

1. Location Visual

The selected map or schematic uploaded in a project's assets, that Work Areas have been drawn.

2. Work Areas

The visual representations of where Tasks are taking place physically.

3. Overlays

Allows you to layer information visually on the plan. You can choose from Baselines, Resources and Pathways.

Task List

1. Location Selector

Allows you to change between the existing Locations on a project, showing the Work Areas for Tasks assigned to each Location.

2. Structure Selector

Allows you to change the structure the Task List is viewed in.

3. Task List

The list of Tasks with Work Areas on the Location within the configured date range. Click to select a Task and highlight the Work Area.

1. Date Range Controls

Move there date range forwards and backwards by a week or select the start/finish date to edit.

2. Default Lookahead View

Sets the duration to that of the Default Lookahead set in Project Settings.

3. Today

Transports the Gantt view back to the current day.

4. Date Range Pre-sets

Change the date range to the current week, the week after or the current month.

5. Date Picker

Chooses a start and finish date for a custom Lookahead duration.

1. Title Section

A summary containing a Task's Parent, the Package it's assigned, plus the ability to mark it as a Key Task.

2. Status Section

Add a new status to a Task and view all Statuses recorded on it.

3. Overview Section

An editable view of information assigned to a Task.

4. Related Tasks Section

A summary of all Tasks connected to the one viewed via Links or Clashes.

5. Resources Section

View and add Resources from this Section.

6. Collaboration Section

View and add Resources from this Section.

7. Reference Data Section

View Task specific information relating to external systems (i.e a Master Schedule) here.

Clashes Panel

1. Task Overview

A list of clashing Tasks in your work with the number of Tasks they clash with.

2. Task Breakdown

A Breakdown of the specific Tasks a Task is clashing with along with transport to those Tasks.

Missing Data

1. Task Overview

A list tasks missing Fields that have been set as Required Fields along with the specific missing Fields.
