Publishing involves creating a read-only version of the plan, similar to an interactive PDF. Most teams generate a new Published Version every week. Each Published Version is a snapshot capturing the plan at a specific moment, which is essential for sharing or as a baseline for comparisons.
If you're responsible for tasks within the project's lookahead period, you can "Make Ready" your plan once all your tasks are added. Marking your plan as Ready makes it clear to the team that your contributions are prepared for inclusion in the next Published Version or review. Here's a walkthrough on how to indicate to the rest of the team that you're plans are up to date and how to resolve any outstanding issues:
