Folders & Structure

Aphex's version of the WBS structure is 'Folders'. Folders & Subfolders serve as the primary means for everyone on the Project to organise and group Tasks across the plan.

• For a Bottom Up approach, you can start on 'Creating Folders'

• For a Top Down approach, 'Editing Folders' will be the best place to start.

Creating Folders

Creating a Root Folder

From the Folders Menu

• Open up the Folders menu

• Click the 'Create New Root' button

On the Gantt

• Make sure that your Primary Grouping is set to 'Folders'

• An option to 'Add Root Folder' will appear on the Gantt

Creating a Subfolder

From the Folders Menu

• Hover over the Folder you would like to add a sub-folder to

• Click on the + symbol that appears on the right hand side of the screen

• Choose 'Add Sub-Folder'

On the Gantt

• Hover over the Folder you are adding to

• Click on the '+' button

• Select 'Add Subfolder'

• Type in the Subfolder Name & Select the 'Create [Folder Name]' button

Creating a Peer Folder

From the Folders Menu

• Hover over the Folder you would like to add a sub-folder to

• Click on the + symbol that appears on the right hand side of the screen

• Select 'Add Peer Folder'

Editing Folders

Now that you have the Folder Structure built on your Project, this will cover the editing options.

Moving Folders

Drag & Drop

• Hover over the Folder name & click and hold to the left of the checkbox

• Drag the Folder to move it

Using the Overflow Menu

• Hover over the Folder & click the '...'

• Select Move to bring up the menu

• Click on the Folder you want to move to & confirm using the tick button
